Disara Abeywickrama

INTRODUCTION

I am Disara Dewni Abeywickrama. I am a proud graduate of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). I have obtained a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in English with a Second Upper Division. I have received the Best Performance Award at the Convocation 2023. I have published my first research paper titled " Exploring Subject-Verb Agreement Challenges in the Writing of ESL Learners: An Action Research Study in Sri Lanka at SLIIT International Conference on Advancements in Science & Humanities( SICASH) 2023.

In addition, I am an author. I have published my first book titled as " Scars that Speak". I am a public speaker and a professional compere who have hosted many events such as Research Symposiums, Graduations, Ovation Programs at Toastmasters International. I am award winning public speaker at Toastmasters level with more than 4 years of experience.

Currently I work as a lecturer of English at a Private university and also as a Visiting Lecturer of English at a State University. I am currently reading for my Masters in MA( TESL) at Open University. I am an avid reader and a movie lover.
